1. To do this, you need to count 7 rows from the beginning of knitting of the sole and start performing one row of dn, while grabbing only the back of the loop of the lower columns. Having knitted a row to the opposite side, you need to dial 30 vp. and attach to the beginning of the run of the heel. This will be the first strap of the knitted sandal.

We knit a heel with a strap

We mark the middle of the heel, count 7 loops in different directions and also mark with pins.

We read off 7 loops from the pin and begin to knit the right sandal:

• 1 row: (blue yarn) 3 VP, 6 SSN, 15 VP, 7 SSN, 21 VP (strap);
• 2 row: we turn knitting, 1 VP and knit the whole row of RLS;
• 3 row: 3 VP, we knit the whole row with CCH, at the end of the strap we do not knit 9 loops. These will be the buttonholes. We knit like this: * 1 VP, skip one loop and knit 2 CCH * - 3 times.
• 4th row: (white yarn) we tie the entire heel and strap of the RLS.

The left sandal is knitted similarly. Only the strap should be in the other direction, so we will have 1 row like this - 21 VP, 7 CCH, 15 VP, 7 VP. Further rows will be like the right sandal.

Knitting pattern for the strap and harness for sandals:

We collect 16 VP with blue yarn.

We knit a side harness (white yarn in 2 strands). We mark on both sides with pins the place from where we will start knitting the harness. We attach the thread and knit 1 VP, 5 RLS. Next, we continue to knit RLS to the length of the harness we need, it all depends on the fullness of the foot, I have 7 cm. We leave the end of the thread long, in order to then sew on the harness from the opposite side.

We begin to knit the central harness (blue yarn in 3 strands). We mark with two pins where the beginning and end of the harness will be. We attach the thread and knit:

• From 1 to 4 row: 1 VP, 7 PRS;
• 5 row: 6 VP, 2 VP, skip 2 loops and knit 2 CC3H, 2 VP, skip 2 loops and knit 1 CC3H into the last loop. It turned out a hole for a side strap.
• From 6 to 10 row: we knit 7 PRS;
• 11 row: 6 VP, skip 2 loops - 1 CC2H, 2 VP, in the last loop 1 CC2H. It turned out a hole for the strap.
